The rules of the road for using this website.
Last updated: June 5, 2026
By using this website, you agree to these terms. Most of it is common-sense stuff — we’re a paving contractor, this is our website, and these are the conditions under which we publish it.
Estimates from the contact form on this site are not binding contracts — we’ll come look at your job and write you a written estimate in person. Photos and descriptions of our work are examples, not guarantees of identical results. Don’t use this site to do anything illegal. California law governs these terms.
This website is published by Charles Brown Paving & Excavating, a licensed California paving and excavation contractor located at 4333 Caballo Way, Chico, CA 95973. In these terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Charles Brown Paving & Excavating; “you” and “your” mean any visitor to this site.
This website exists to give you information about our services, our service area, our pricing approach, and how to get in touch with us for an estimate. It is informational; nothing on this site constitutes a binding offer of service, a guarantee of price, or a representation of specific outcomes for your particular project.
If you submit our contact form to request an estimate, we’ll respond and arrange a site visit. Any pricing we discuss before that site visit is approximate. Our binding written estimates are produced after we’ve walked your property, looked at the actual site conditions, and confirmed what the job involves.
Written estimates we deliver to you have their own validity period and conditions, which will be stated on the estimate itself. Once you sign an estimate, that signed estimate (not this website) governs the work.
We try to keep the information on this site accurate and current, but we can’t guarantee everything is up-to-date at every moment. Prices, service availability, response times, and details about specific service areas may change without notice.
If something on this site looks wrong or outdated, we’d appreciate hearing about it — email [email protected].
Photos of our work are shown to give you a sense of the kind of jobs we do. They are not guarantees that your project will look identical, take the same amount of time, or cost the same. Every site, base condition, and customer’s needs are different.
You may use this website for the purposes it was published for — reading about our services, deciding whether to contact us, and contacting us. You may not:
The content on this website — text, photographs, logos, design, and code — is owned by Charles Brown Paving & Excavating or used with permission. You may view the content and link to it. You may not republish or redistribute it without our written permission.

This website is provided “as is.” We make no warranties — express or implied — about its content, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from defects. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly given here.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Charles Brown Paving & Excavating is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website. If we are found liable for direct damages despite the above, our total liability is limited to one hundred dollars (US$100).
None of the above limits our responsibility under any signed estimate or contract for work we perform — that is governed separately by the contract itself.
This site may link to third-party websites for your convenience. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, privacy practices, or anything else about them.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted at this URL, with the “last updated” date at the top reflecting the most recent change.
